Achieving and growing, together in friendship

Mission Statement:

It is our mission to achieve the very best for every child, by working together to provide a caring environment, that encourages and nurtures, with an enriched education for all.

Vision, Values and Ethos

North Park Primary School is located in Spennymoor and currently has 254 pupils enrolled.

The Head Teacher is Miss Emma Roffe. We employ a dedicated team of staff, including teachers, teaching assistants and support colleagues who work together to ensure all pupils receive a high level of individual support and care. We have 10 classes in total, with each year group supported by skilled teaching assistants to promote positive leaning.

At North Park Primary School, our motto is “Achieving and growing, together in friendship.”
This reflects our belief in nurturing confident, resilient learners within a caring, inclusive community where relationships, collaboration and high expectations support every child to thrive.

The school consists of several key phases: Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Teaching Assistants are deployed throughout the school to meet the varied needs of all children. Our inclusive ethos and strong pastoral systems create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, included and supported.

North Park Primary School aims to:

  • Ensure the principles of the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda are fulfilled.
  • Create a stimulating and welcoming environment that reflects our values, promotes community, and supports children’s sense of self‑worth.
  • Develop lifelong learners.
  • Provide engaging learning experiences that offer equal opportunities to develop creativity and critical thinking.
  • Promote social, cultural, moral and spiritual development, preparing pupils to become responsible, active citizens.
  • Strengthen partnerships with parents and carers, building positive links with the wider community.

We believe the most effective way to achieve these aims is by promoting curiosity, enthusiasm, challenge, collaboration, respect for differences, openness, self‑belief and resilience.
